Nepotism runs in the family: Almost a third of senators have family members registered to lobby or employed in government affairs, according to Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. Some of those senators paid $928,000 in fees or contributions to family businesses or members.

The Influence Industry
Major League Baseball spent over a million dollars on steroids-related lobbying last year and the NFL must feel like they’re next on the hot seat because they spent $655,000 on the issue.

Did certain stations in Alabama black out last night’s broadcast of “60 Minutes” (which just happened to focus on allegations that the indictment of Alabama governor Don Siegelman was politically motivated)?
