A Louisiana legislator, State Senator Derrick Shepherd, said yesterday he is being investigated by the FBI because he wouldn’t provide agents information about possible wrongdoing by Rep. William Jefferson and New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin.

The ‘08 Race
John Gotti may have wanted to kill Rudy Giuliani back in 1986. But his son-in-law seems to have a soft spot for the former mayor. Carmine Agnello, who was married to Gotti’s daughter, Victoria, volunteered to help the city after 9/11. Agnello, a scrap metal magnate, offered Giuliani the use of a $6 million shredding machine to chew up the steel beams mixed in the rubble of the World Trade Center. The offer was refused.
