Breaking: Bush Appoints “Smartest Guy”

President Bush just nominated former Reliant Vice President Bud Albright, one of those energy traders immortalized in “The Smartest Guys in the Room,” the documentary about Enron, to be Under Secretary of Energy.

Reliant settled a lawsuit with FERC in 2003 for millions of dollars after they were accused of limiting power to California during the power crunch in 2000 in order to boost the price.
