What Are You Optimistic About?

Happy New Year!

As we stumble into 2007, it’s appropriate to take a look at what lies ahead in the future. Sure, we hear plenty about violence in the Middle East, overpopulation, the ubiquity of Paris Hilton, etc.

But what’s there to be optimistic about?

Edge.org asked that question to dozens of the world’s leading thinkers, from philosopher Daniel C. Dennett and “Long Tail” author Chris Anderson to “Guns, Germs & Steel” author Jared Diamond and futurist Ray Kurzweil.
