- What a coincidence! Stephen Hayes, the Weekly Standard writer who’s been the biggest proponent of a connection between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda, just got tapped to pen the authorized biography of Vice President Dick Cheney. (Despite the fact that his analysis was critiqued by Pentagon intelligence officials, Hayes’ piece about the supposed link was called “the best source of information” on the topic by… Dick Cheney.) Oh, and Hayes was also one of the fiercest attack dogs going after Joe Wilson.

- Who’s the shy Senator who put a “secret hold” on bipartisan legislation aimed at creating a single Website that lists nearly all recipients of federal funding? We’re guessing that it’s Ted Stevens.
